TL;DR

AreWeDoomed.me is a free novelty love calculator. We do not store anything in any database. No accounts, no cookies beyond what’s strictly necessary, no tracking profiles, no retention period to worry about — because there’s nothing to retain. Share links encode the calculation inputs directly into the URL itself, so the result can be reproduced on demand without any server-side lookup.

What we collect

To run a compatibility calculation you enter, in your browser:

• First names of the two people being compared.
• Birth dates of the two people being compared.

These inputs are sent once to our server so it can run the deterministic calculation, and the result is sent back immediately. That’s the entire interaction. We do not ask for surnames, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, payment information, or any government identifiers. There is no account system and no login.

Our server may log standard technical information (IP address, user-agent, request timestamps) for a short period for security and abuse prevention. These logs are not used for profiling or marketing.

What we do NOT store

Nothing about your calculation is written to any database. There is no database. Inputs are processed in memory, the result is returned, and then everything is discarded on the server side.

How share links work

When you click "Share" we generate a URL like /r/<token>. The token is a compressed, URL-safe copy of the calculation inputs — the two first names and the two birth dates you entered. When the link is opened, your browser runs the same deterministic calculation to reproduce the exact result. No data is looked up on our server — everything needed to render the page is in the URL.

This means that anyone you send the link to can see both first names and both birth dates (after they are decoded by our site), because those are the inputs that produced the score. Only share a link with people you are happy to share those details with. If you want to hide the birth dates, send them a screenshot instead.

The URL is self-contained — there is no matching record on our server. That means we cannot look up who created a link, when it was created, or who viewed it. We also keep share URLs short (around 80–150 characters) so that QR codes stay easy to scan.

Deleting a share link

Because a share link contains everything needed to render the page, there is no server-side record to delete. The only way to "delete" a link is to stop sharing it and, where possible, request removal from anywhere it was posted.

If someone has asked you to stop displaying a result that mentions them, please delete the link from your posts, messages or bookmarks. If the link is hosted somewhere else (social media, forum, etc.), contact that platform to have it removed.

About the other person's data

The Service lets you input details about a second person (your crush, partner, ex, celebrity, etc.). Under GDPR this data is processed lawfully under the "purely personal or household activity" exemption when you are testing compatibility for your own curiosity.

You are responsible for how you use the Service. Please do not enter detailed personal information about another living person without their knowledge or permission, especially if you intend to share the result publicly.

Cookies and tracking

The Service uses only the cookies strictly necessary for the site to function.

If advertising is later enabled on the Service, we will display a cookie consent banner requesting your opt-in before any non-essential cookies are set, and will update this policy accordingly.

Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

If you are in the UK, EU or EEA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority — e.g. the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Because we store nothing, most of these rights are instantly satisfied: there is no personal data to access, correct, delete, restrict or port. If you still want confirmation, email [email protected].

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your data to third parties. Since we don't keep a database of results, there is nothing to share even if we wanted to. Our hosting infrastructure is located in the EU (Hetzner, Germany).
